The Hornets answered with a long series of their own, as they ended an 11-play, 75-yard drive with an 11-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Garrett Safron to wide receiver DeAndre Carter.

Colorado quarterback Jordan Webb completed four of six passes for 53 yards in the opening quarter.
