2013 recruit Jaron Hopkins has committed to the University of Colorado.
The University of Colorado picked up its first recruit for 2013 on Monday in the form of Jaron Hopkins, a 6'5 point guard from Mesa, Arizona. Hopkins himself announced the news on twitter on Monday by tweeting his new school to his followers.
During his time with Dobson High School in Mesa, Hopkins averaged 21.8 points per game along with seven rebounds, six assists and five steals. He was considered by Rivals.com to be the 64th best prospect in the class of 2013 and represents a fairly hefty get for the Buffaloes in a state they don't normally get many solid recruits out of.
Hopkins had been in talks with several other schools throughout his recruiting process, including big names like Arizona, UNLV, St. Mary's and rival school Colorado State.
