The Colorado Buffaloes are leading 29-22 against the California Golden Bears going into halftime of a Pac-12 defensive battle. Neither team has managed to get many quality shots thus far, leading to weak shooting percentages and equally weak scoring figures.
In the first half, the Buffaloes shot just 40 percent from the field, but they were actually the more effective offensive team. The Golden Bears shot 31 percent, and made just 3 of their 6 free throw attempts. The Buffaloes were much better at taking advantage of free throws, knocking down 10 of 15 shots from the charity stripe.
For the Buffaloes, Austin Dufault leads the team in scoring with nine points, while Andre Roberson has added five points and six rebounds. California's leading scorer is Harper Kemp with seven points. Senior guard Jorge Gutierrez struggled in the first half for the Golden Bears, going 1-for-10 from the field.
