Quarterback Pete Thomas, aided by a personal foul call on Colorado defensive tackle Conrad Obi, marched the Rams down the field for a 7-0 lead over the Buffaloes.
Thomas threw for 41 yards and ran for another 14, and the touchdown, to give the Rams the early lead.
