The Missouri Tigers will play Texas A&M on Thursday night after defeating the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 88-84. Marcus Denmon led the Tigers with 20 points, five assists, five steals and three rebounds. However, the Tigers blew a 13-point lead that they built early in the second half, making the game much closer than it should have been.

Michael Dixon and Kim English added 17 points and 15 points, respectively, for the Tigers. They and the rest of the Tigers were able to hold off John Roberson's 28-point, 7-assist performance. All five starters for Texas Tech scored at least 10 points, while the bench added only five. Knight , who took over for his father in Feb. 20008, finished with a 50-61 overall record after tonight's game.

Tech head coach Pat Knight, son of Bobby Knight, coached his last game for the Red Raiders as he was fired earlier in the week.
