Big 12 Tournament: Buffs Face Uphill Challenge Against Kansas

It's bad enough that the Colorado Buffaloes have to play their third game in three days. It's worse that they have to play that game against the Kansas Jayhawks in a virtual home game for KU. A mere 40 miles from Lawrence, KS - think Boulder to Denver - the Sprint Center in Kansas City is home to the Big 12 Tournament and a popular gathering spot for Jayhawk faithful during the weeklong tribute to Big 12 basketball.

But while the majority of the crowd will be rooting for the Jayhawks, Alec Burks and company can shut them up by playing the type of ball they have been playing in their two previous games.

By hitting shots relative to the 51.9% they've been shooting in the tournament thus far, and by outrebounding KU, as they have outrebounded K-State and the Iowa St. Cyclones, CU can quiet the partisan fans and rally both Buff fans and also any fan in the Sprint Center who is rooting for the underdog.

The game tips tonight at 5:00 p.m. MT and can be seen on Altitude2.
