College Basketball Recruiting 2012: Colorado Buffaloes Receive NLIs From Five Players, According To Report

The Colorado Buffaloes have received five national letters of intent for their 2012 recruiting class, reports BuffStampede.com. Sterling, CO, point guard Xavier Talton had been the first to send in his signed letter on Wednesday morning and four others have reportedly sent them in as well.

The biggest get in this class is Colorado Springs power forward Josh Scott. He is rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals and is 6-foot-8 and 225 pounds. The Buffs picked up a third in-state product in power forward Wesley Gordon of Sierra High School in Colorado Springs, as well. Both Scott and Gordon verbally committed to the Buffs back in March.

The Buffs also have another four-star recruit in Mater Dei small forward Xavier Johnson. He is 6-foot-6, 180 pounds and verbally committed at the start of October. Chris Jenkins is the other out-of-state commit, coming from Detroit MI.

The Buffs will have transition year in 2011 as they move on from the Alec Burks-Cory Higgins Era, the former leaving as a sophomore for the NBA and the other graduating.
