The Colorado Buffaloes' brief euphoria from a 7-0 lead has crashed into the fiery pit of despair after USC Trojans quarterback Matt Barkley has thrown three touchdown passes for a 21-7 lead. Barkley just threw his third touchdown pass after starting with a short field. Colorado punted from its own 13-line and gave the Trojans just 52 yards to work with.
Curtis McNeal picked up 32 yards on the ground for the Trojans, including a 21-yard run that put the Trojans at Colorado's 15-yard line. Barkley found Robert Woods a couple of plays later in the end zone for a 15-yard touchdown pass.
Woods and Marqise Lee have combined for nine receptions, 125 receiving yards and two touchdown passes with just four minutes left in the second quarter.
