Stay connected for news and updates

After the Colorado Buffaloes and the USC Trojans exchanged touchdown passes on their respective first drives of the game, scoring dried up in the first quarter. With two two minutes left in the first quarter, Matt Barkley had the Trojans at his own 15-yard line as a result of an illegal block on the punt return. Barkley and Robert Woods connected on a 16-yard catch that moved up to the 50-yard line as a result of a Buffs personal foul.

Barkley then threw two straight passes to Marqise Lee, including a 32-yard catch. That brought an end to the first quarter. The Buffs started things out with a pass interference penalty that placed the Trojas at the five-yard line. Barkley threw his second touchdown pass with a five-yard throw to Xavier Grimble.

The Trojans are up, 14-7, with 12:30 left on the clock in the second quarter.
