The team in the Pac-12 championship game will be decided on Saturday. For the Oregon Ducks, it's simple: defeat the Oregon St. Beavers in the Civil War to win the Pac-12 North division and host the championship game; lose, and the Stanford Cardinal would take the division. In the South division, the title is up for grabs between three teams: the Arizona St. Sun Devils, the UCLA Bruins and the Utah Utes. SB Nation Los Angeles has the breakdown:
- UCLA (6-5, 5-3) needs either a win over the USC Trojans OR a loss by Utah.
- The Arizona State Sun Devils (6-5, 4-4) need a win over Cal AND a loss by UCLA AND a win by Utah.
- The Utah Utes (7-4, 4-4) need a win over Colorado AND losses by both UCLA and Arizona State.
Here's a rundown on the entire weekend's Pac-12 contests:
Friday, Nov. 25
California Golden Bears (6-5, 3-5 Pac-12) vs. Arizona St. Sun Devils, 8:15 p.m. MT, ESPN: Will the Bears be able to up-end the Devil's small chances of winning the South division?
Saturday, Nov. 26
Oregon Ducks (9-2, 7-1 Pac-12) vs. Oregon St. Beavers, 1:30 p.m. MT, ABC/ESPN2: Win and the Ducks are in Pac-12's first championship game. A loss sends Stanford to the game as the North division winners.
Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (8-3, 6-2 Sun Belt) vs. Arizona Wildcats (3-8, 2-7, Pac-12), 2:00 p.m. MT: The Wildcats finally close out their season and await to get things going in a positive direction soon.
No. 22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (8-3, 3-1 away) vs. No. 6 Stanford Cardinal (10-1, 8-1 Pac-12), 6:00 p.m. MT, ABC: Stanford can't lose a chance at the Pac-12 championship game if they lose, but would they really want to enter that game with a loss should they win the North?
UCLA Bruins vs. USC Trojans, 8:00 p.m. MT: It's been a long, strange journey for the Bruins this season and they can still play for the Pac-12 championship.
