Maryland Vs. Colorado Final Score: Terrapins Rally To Defeat Buffaloes, 78-71

Colorado had an eight-point lead at the half and appeared to be in control of the game as it pushed the lead to double digits early in the second half, but the Maryland Terrapins--and guard Terrell Stoglin in particular--woke up and responded with a fierce rally. After falling behind 46-35, the Terps went on a 15-5 run to close the gap to a single point at the midway point in the second half.

Colorado briefly extended the lead back to five before Maryland again closed the gap, and the two teams went back and forth for a few minutes before the Terrapins slowly began asserting control of the game.

Led by Stoglin, who poured in 32 points on the night, the Terps ended up scoring ten more points in the second half of Friday's game than they did in the entire game against Alabama.

Next up for Colorado is the seventh place game of the Puerto Rico Tip-off. The Buffs will play Western Michigan at 9:30 a.m. MT on Nov. 20. The game will be available on ESPN3.

Maryland Vs. Colorado Halftime Score: Buffaloes Lead 34-26 At The Half

The Colorado Buffaloes are trying to get back in the win column after a loss to Wichita State, and they've built a solid eight-point lead over the Maryland Terrapins in the first half. Maryland actually got off to a quick start, though, and led 12-5 before Colorado went on a 10-2 run to take a lead they would not relinquish.

Unofficially, Austin Dufault leads the Buffs in scoring with eight points on 4-4 shooting. Andre Roberson has seven points, while Askia Booker has six.

Maryland is coming off a dreadful performance at the offensive end on Thursday, and while they didn't shoot exceptionally well in the opening 20 minutes, they have been a lot better. Sean Mosley scored nine points and Terrell Stoglin added seven.

Maryland Vs. Colorado, Puerto Rico Tip-off 2011: Buffaloes Look To Bounce Back Against Terps

After falling to the Wichita Shockers on Thursday by a score of 67-58 in the opening round of the 2011 Puerto Rico Tip-off Classic, the Colorado Buffaloes look to rebound with a win against the Maryland Terrapins on Friday. Although the Buffaloes' opening-round loss was disappointing, the staff at The Ralphie Report did see some positive things that give some hope going forward:

Things the Buffs did well: Carlon Brown played a great game and is definitely the focal point of this offense.Askia Booker contributed offensively and looks like a legitimate player. The defense was much better compared to the Fort Lewis game and helped keep CU close in the first half when they could not get anything going. Dufault shot well from outside and Dinwiddie had flashes of good basketball throughout the game. Moreover, the team did not do anything great that really stood out to me.

Meanwhile, Maryland had a rough game against the #15-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, losing 62-42 and shooting only 25% from the field. Was it just a bad performance by the Terps, or the sign of a weak team waiting for the Buffaloes? The staff at Testudo Times offers some insight from Thursday's game:

Perhaps most of all, Maryland just plain couldn't find the bottom of the net. It looked like confidence played into it to some extent after the early poor start. But Stoglin and Faust aren't that poor at shooting. In fact, they're pretty good at it. Some of their shots were plain silly and obviously forced, but they also had a half-dozen open looks that clanked or missed everything entirely. We even saw Mosley's lay-up demons re-emerge. It was sort of bizarre.

If you would like to catch there action, here is the information you need to seek it out:

Game date, time: 4:30 pm MST, Friday, November 18th, 2011

Wichita State Vs. Colorado Final Score: Buffaloes Lose To Shockers 67-58

After getting behind in the first half, the Colorado Buffaloes were unable to mount a comeback against the Wichita State Shockers in a 67-58 defeat on Thursday night. Colorado trailed 33-26 at the half, and struggled to get things much closer in the second half as the Shockers sustained their lead.

Wichita State extended the lead to 50-40 with about 12 minutes left in the game, but over the next couple minutes the Buffaloes trimmed the lead down to 52-49 with a nice run. That was as close as they'd get, though, as the Shockers proceeded to go on a 6-0 run. Colorado cut the lead back to 62-57 with 2:12 remaining on a Askia Booker three-pointer, but that was the last field goal that they'd score all night.

Guard Carlon Brown led the way for Colorado with 15 points and four rebounds. Wichita State had four different scorers in double-figures, led by forward Ben Smith and guard Toure' Murry, who scored 17 points apiece. Shockers center Garrett Stutz also added 14 points and 11 rebounds. Colorado is now 1-1 on the year, while Wichita State bumps up to 2-0.

Wichita State Vs. Colorado Halftime Score: Shockers Open Up 33-26 Lead Over Buffs

The opening round of the 2011 Puerto Rico Tip-off Classic got underway on Thursday and three of the final four teams from the 2011 NIT are playing in it. While the Alabama Crimson Tide, the runner-up, already advanced on Tuesday, Defending champion Wichita St. Shockers are winning, 33-26, at halftime over the Colorado Buffaloes, who made it to the semis before losing to Alabama.

At times, the Buffs were able to keep the game close, often putting the game into a tie. However, the Shockers were able to come out of timeouts and steadily build several multi-point leads. Shockers forward Ben Smith led all scorers with 11 points, connecting on 3-of-5 three-points. Guard David Kyles added eight points, including two threes.

The Buffs, however, committed nine turnovers in the first half, two each by starters Nate Tomlinson and Austin Dufault. Guard Carlon Brown had a team-high six points while Andre Roberson picked up five rebounds in the first half.

This is the first real test of the season for the Buffs since they opened the season against Division II Fort Lewis. Will they be able to make the necessary adjustments to come back in the second half?
