Colorado Vs. Stanford Score: Andrew Luck, CU Errors Have The Cardinal Up At Halftime, 27-7

Stay connected for news and updates

The Colorado Buffaloes squandered an early opportunity in the first quarter and then saw the game start slipping away during the latter half of the second quarter. The Stanford Cardinal received the opening kickoff, but the ball was fumbled and recovered by Colorado. The Buffs were unable to punch the ball in, which led to a Will Oliver field goal attempt. It was blocked and returned 75 yards for the touchdown.

Late in the first quarter, Stepfan Taylor punched the ball in for a one-yard touchdown. Colorado answered back in the second quarter with a Tyler Hansen five-yard pass to Tony Jones. A 76-yard screen pass to Rodney Stewart set up that eventual score. Will Oliver missed a 46-yard field goal at the end of the first half.

But a Jeremy Stewart touchdown six minutes later and an Andrew Luck touchdown pass put the Cardinal in the 27-7 lead. Luck is 14-of-18 for 219 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
