Rodney Stewart Injury: Buffs RB Suffers Knee Sprain, According To Report

The Colorado Buffaloes are 1-6 and on a four-game losing streak. To compound the problems, the Buffs will be without running back Rodney Stewart for several games, according to Kyle Ringo of Buffzone. Stewart left Saturday's game against the Washington Huskies with what is being called a knee sprain right now.

This is the second injury in as many weeks that the Buffs have suffered. Wide receiver Paul Richardson missed last week's game against the Stanford Cardinal. After the loss, the team announced that Richardson was going to miss a few weeks with a knee sprain.

Stewart remains the team's leading rusher with 473 yards, but now Tony Jones, who scored twice in the game, will need to fill in for Stewart.

Colorado begins a tough three-game stretch next week with a home game against Oregon. They will then travel to face Arizona State before coming back to host USC.
