Rodney Stewart Injury: Buffs RB Suffers Knee Sprain, According To Report

The Colorado Buffaloes are 1-6 and on a four-game losing streak. To compound the problems, the Buffs will be without running back Rodney Stewart for several games, according to Kyle Ringo of Buffzone. Stewart left Saturday's game against the Washington Huskies with what is being called a knee sprain right now.

This is the second injury in as many weeks that the Buffs have suffered. Wide receiver Paul Richardson missed last week's game against the Stanford Cardinal. After the loss, the team announced that Richardson was going to miss a few weeks with a knee sprain.

Stewart remains the team's leading rusher with 473 yards, but now Tony Jones, who scored twice in the game, will need to fill in for Stewart.

Colorado begins a tough three-game stretch next week with a home game against Oregon. They will then travel to face Arizona State before coming back to host USC.

Rodney Stewart Injury: Colorado Buffaloes RB Leaves Game With Leg Injury

The Colorado Buffaloes are already missing wide receiver Paul Richardson for a few weeks, and now running back Rodney Stewart is injured. He left in the first half of Saturday's game against the Washington Huskies and did not return before halftime hit. His leg was wrapped while he sat on the bench.

He started off strong with 42 yards on four attempts, though 33 of those came on one run. That helped set up Colorado's only score of the game so far. They are losing, 38-10. With Stewart's status up in the air, Tony Jones has filled in, but the Buffaloes offense had just over 100 total yards of offense.

His status is expected to be updated after halftime.
