The Brian Cabral era has started off very well. The defense has looked solid, the special teams has made plays, something they haven’t done all year, and Cody Hawkins has this Buffs’ offense moving.

Colorado has taken a 17-7 lead on the Iowa State Cyclones into halftime behind the arm of Hawkins. The quarterback is 11-15 for 195 yards and two scores, one to Toney Clemons and the other to freshman Paul Richardson. CU RB Rodney Stewart has 69 yards on 16 carries. All of this offensive production doesn’t happen without great play from the Colorado Buffaloes’ offensive line who has opened up holes all day and protected Cody Hawkins.
