Colorado Buffaloes Place Alec Burks & Cory Higgins On Preseason Top 50 Wooden Award List

The 2010-11 John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 List was released yesterday and two Colorado Buffaloes make the watch list. They are Alec Burks and Cory Higgins. This is the first time in CU history that two Buffs were named to the list in the same year.

Higgins, a senior guard, averaged 18.9 points last season and made over 50 percent of his field goals. Burks, a sophomore guard, averaged 17.1 points and made just under 54 percent of his field goals.

Colorado joins Duke, Gonzaga, Michigan State, Purdue and Syracuse as the only teams with two players on the list.

The Buffs, who went 15-16 in 2009-10, open the season with a home game against the Idaho State Bengals on Fri., Nov. 12 at 8 p.m.
