The Colorado Avalanche have recalled forward Mark Olver from AHL Lake Erie to fill the roster spot vacated by the recently retired Peter Forsberg, according the Lake Erie Monsters
Olver has played sparingly for Colorado this season as an injury replacement, playing four games in October and tallying two assists. At Lake Erie, Olver has been superb, scoring 21 goals and 36 points in 52 games for the Monsters.
He is likely to start Wednesday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
