Avalanche Vs. Devils Final Score: Avs Score Three In The Third, Win 6-1

The Colorado Avalanche pushed their record against the Eastern Conference to 6-1 with a 6-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils at the Pepsi Center on Wednesday.

After a scoreless second period, Colorado's offense went off for three goals in the third period. Ryan O'Reilly scored his third goal of the season off an assist from Milan Hejduk to push Colorado's lead to 4-1 just minutes into the third. Jay McClement would beat Martin Brodeur for a shorthanded goal, his fourth of the year, with 10 minutes remaining. Stefan Elliott netted Colorado's final goal thanks to assists from Kyle Quincey and Ryan O'Reilly. 

Colorado out-shot New Jersey 25-19. The Avalanche also dominated in faceoffs, 30-17.

Milan Hejduk finished with a goal and an assist for Colorado (11-13-1) in the win. O'Reilly added two assists in addition to his third period score.

Ilya Kovalchuk scored New Jersey's lone goal in the second period.
