VIDEO: Gabriel Landeskog Scores 1st NHL Goal

The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets in overtime, 3-2, on Wednesday evening, and they wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of the 2011 No. 2 overall draft pick, Gabriel Landeskog. With just 41 seconds left in the game and the Avalanche down, 2-1, Landeskog ties the game by being in the right place at the right time. Check out the video after the jump.

Ryan O'Reilly takes the puck from the right wing and passes to Jan Hejda, who fires off a shot from the right wing. But Landeskog skates across the middle of the ice and the puck caroms off him and winds up in the net for the 2-2 tie.

So for the trivia buffs, it took just three games for Landeskog to score his first goal, record his first point and have his first positive plus-minus game.

On a separate note, Hejda had previously played with the Blue Jackets before signing with the Avalanche this offseason as a free agent.
