Denver, CO (Sports Network) – Peter Budaj stopped 31 shots for his first shutout of the season while Kevin Porter scored twice to help Colorado take a 5-0 win over Dallas at Pepsi Center.
Philippe Dupuis had a goal and two assists while Brandon Yip and Milan Hejduk each added a goal and a helper for the Avalanche, who have won three of their last four games.
Andrew Raycroft was tagged for all five goals on 45 shots for the Stars, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
