Avalanche Recall D Colby Cohen And F Kevin Porter

The Colorado Avalanche continue to recall players from their AHL Lake Erie affiliate. Two days after defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk was recalled, the Avalanche have decided to add defenseman Colby Cohen and forward Kevin Porter to their roster.

Cohen was one of the last cuts in training camp and impressed with his solid positioning and offensive potential. He will be taking the place of Ryan WIlson, who suffered a leg injury earlier this week.

Porter was acquired from Phoenix, along with Peter Mueller, in the Wolski trade last spring. A former college standout, he will be expected to give the Avalanche some much needed fourth line depth and to rest some of their star forwards.
