The Lake Erie Monsters have announced that goalie John Grahame has been sent back to the AHL after three weeks with the Colorado Avalanche.

Grahame, the 35 year old veteran, was recalled to back up Peter Budaj after Craig Anderson was injured. With Budaj’s stellar play in net, however, Grahame was not able to play in a game.

This also signifies that Anderson is likely ready to return to game action relatively soon, perhaps early next week. For now, it’s likely that he will be the backup for Budaj for the next couple of games.
