The Colorado Avalanche offense showed up during the first 10 minutes of the second period for three goals. On the power play, Chris Stewart added his ninth goal of the season 50 seconds into the period. Roughly 10 minutes later, defenseman David Liffiton scored the first goal of his career. Forty-four seconds later, Paul Stastny netted another goal for the Avalanche for a 4-0 lead.
Goalie Peter Budaj is still perfect in net tonight, blocking 19 shots.
