The Broncos escaped San Diego with a 35-24 win on Monday, but not with a clean bill of health for star linebacker Von Miller. In the third quarter of the Broncos victory, Miller was seen grabbing his side and revealed after the game it was a hip pointer injury. Despite this, Miller stayed in the game and finished it off with a fourth-quarter sack of Philip Rivers. The Broncos have not revealed any further updates on Miller.
After not being on Friday's injury report, cornerback Tracy Porter missed Monday's game with an undisclosed illness, according to the team. No information on the nature of the illness is known, but the Broncos have a bye in Week 7, giving Porter plenty of time to recover.
Returning to the team after missing four games due to a forearm injury was guard Chris Kuper. He sustained the injury on August 14, and was expected to miss 4-6 weeks. No news is good news after Kuper started against San Diego, but the Broncos should continue to monitor the 29-year-old lineman.

The Denver Broncos pulled off an improbable comeback on Monday night, defeating the San Diego Chargers by the score of 35-24.
Denver entered halftime trailing the Chargers 24-0 after being forced into three turnovers in the first half, two which occurred in the special teams unit. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning struggled in the first half, too, throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown.
The second half, though, was the complete opposite of the first half as the Broncos came out firing on all cylinders. The Broncos scored 35 points in the second half while the defense held San Diego to zero points. The Broncos' defense forced Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers into several turnovers, including a fumble and interception that were returned for touchdowns.
The Broncos improve to 3-3 with the win, instead of falling to 2-4, while the Chargers fall to 3-3. The two teams are now tied for the AFC West division lead.
Fantasy studs/duds
Chargers tight end Antonio Gates had the best performance of his team, collecting six receptions for more than 80 yards and finding the end zone twice. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning also had himself quite a day, airing it out for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns.
Philip Rivers struggled mightily, specifically in the second half. While Rivers passed for more than 240 yards and two touchdowns, the quarterback also threw four interceptions and lost two fumbles.
What's next?
Denver will enter their bye week with extra time to prepare to take on the visiting New Orleans Saints Oct. 28. The Chargers will also have a week off before heading to Cleveland to take on the Cleveland Browns.
