Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

With a 30-for-38 passing performance for 338 yards and three touchdowns, Peyton Manning helped win over some of the doubters the Broncos had accrued with back-to-back losses in Weeks 2 and 3.

After back-to-back losses to two of the top teams in the NFL, many began to doubt how good the Broncos were. There's still plenty of doubt about their chances in the 2012 season, but with a 37-6 blow out of the Oakland Raiders in Week 4, they were able to win some of the doubters back.

They couldn't quite win back Joel Thorman of SB Nation though, who bumped the Broncos up just three spots in his latest power rankings, although he was very complimentary of Peyton Manning's performance.

15. Denver Broncos (LW: 18, 2-2): We're back to loving Peyton Manning again. He had a Peyton-esque game completing 30-of-38 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns.

The win didn't move the Broncos up at all in the Yahoo! power rankings, although that's largely due to the fact that they were already in the top 10 entering Week 5.

8. Denver Broncos (2-2)
Last week: 8

Peyton Manning threw the football 38 times this week, which doesn't seem like a huge number until you consider that the Broncos won 37-6 and probably didn't need to throw the ball more than 15 times.

Between those two rankings is the ESPN's placement at 13th for the Broncos, up one spot from 14th after Week 4.
