The Denver Broncos will enter halftime down 24-0 against the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium
The San Diego Chargers forced the Denver Broncos into three turnovers in the first half and converted them into 17 points, including two forced fumbles in the special teams unit, as the two teams enter halftime with the Chargers leading by the score of 24-0.
After forcing two turnovers in the first quarter, the Chargers' defense didn't let up and was able to force Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning into throwing an interception picked off by Quentin Jammer. The defensive back returned the interception for 80 yards and the score.
The Chargers closed out the half with a methodical 11-play drive that ended with Philip Rivers connecting with Antonio Gates for the touchdown, giving both players their second scores of the game.
Peyton Manning has completed 11 of 16 passes for 142 yards and has not received any support from the run game, which has accumulated just 7 yards on the ground. Meanwhile, Chargers tight end Antonio Gates starred in the first half, carving up the Broncos' defense for 68 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
