Boise State's traditionally high-powered offense has struggled early in 2012, but the Broncos will look to get back on track in New Mexico against the Lobos on Saturday.

The Boise State Broncos have made a name for themselves over the past decade with their high-powered offense. After managing to score just one touchdown in last Saturday's 7-6 win over BYU, they'll look to return to their high-scoring ways when they face the New Mexico Lobos to open Mountain West Conference play on Saturday in New Mexico.

Since 2000, the No. 24 Broncos have been the nation's top-scoring offense, averaging 41.75 points per game, but in 2012, the offense has sputtered and is averaging an uncharacteristic 19.7 points per game. Much of that could be due to the team adjusting to first-year redshirt junior quarterback Joe Southwick and new offensive coordinator Robert Prince.

The Lobos (2-2) are coming off a 27-14 win at New Mexico State last Saturday. Junior running back Kasey Carrier rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown in the victory. They'll have quite a challenge on Saturday as Boise State (2-1) is currently a 26-point favorite, according to OddsShark. The over-under for Saturday's game is set at 52.

Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. MT.
