The Boise State Broncos have jumped back into the AP Top 25 poll at No. 24 after their 40-14 demolition of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Saturday in Hattiesburg, Miss. The Broncos are one of five teams not ranked last week to crack the Week 7 poll.
The Alabama Crimson Tide continue their stranglehold on the top spot in this week's poll, grabbing all 60 first-place votes. The Oregon Ducks also held steady at the No. 2 position, but a series of upsets on Saturday shuffled the rest of the Top 5.
The formerly No. 3 Florida State Seminoles, No. 4 LSU Tigers, and No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs all lost on Saturday, allowing South Carolina, Florida and West Virginia to climb into slots 3-5. Florida State is now ranked No. 12, LSU No. 9 and Georgia No. 14 after their defeats.
Louisiana Tech enters the AP poll for the first time since 1999, coming in at No. 23, one spot ahead of Boise State.
