The Boise State Broncos certainly didn't score any style points in their 20-10 victory over Fresno State on Saturday, and that may have kept them from gaining any ground in the Coaches' Poll.
The Boise State Broncos held steady at No. 22 in the Week 8 installment of the USA Today Coaches' Poll. The Broncos weren't dominant on Saturday, but did get a 20-10 victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs to improve to 5-1 on the season.
Among three new entrants to the poll are the No. 24 Arizona State Sun Devils, who are off to a 5-1 start, including 3-0 in Pac-12 play, after a 51-17 blowout win over the Colorado Buffaloes on Thursday night in Boulder. No. 20 Texas Tech and No. 25 Michigan are the other two newly-ranked teams.
Boise State remains the Mountain West Conference's lone ranked team. The Pac-12 Conference has five teams in the top 25, with No. 2 Oregon, No. 9 USC, No. 11 Oregon State and No. 23 Stanford joining Arizona State.
