The Montana State Bobcats jumped Sam Houston State in the Week 4 FCS football rankings, moving to the No. 2 spot, according to The Sports Network. Improving to 3-0 after a 43-35 victory against Stephen F. Austin on Saturday, the Bobcats sit behind top-ranked North Dakota State, who sat idle this weekend.
The Bobcats received nine first-place votes this week. Meanwhile, Sam Houston State fell to No. 3, Youngstown State came in No. 4 and Old Dominion sits No. 5 in the weekly poll.
Also in the FCS rankings is fellow Big Sky Conference team Montana, who came in No. 14 in the poll. The Grizzlies dropped Liberty 34-14 this weekend and improved to 2-1 on the season. Montana's one loss came in the second game of the season, where it fell by a 35-27 score to No. 17 Appalachian State.
The CAA's strength is on display in the Week 4 poll with six teams from the conference falling into the top 25.
