Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

Air Force will try to move past Fresno State in the Mountain West Conference standings, as the two schools collide in the regular season finale on Saturday.

The Air Force Falcons take on the Fresno State Bulldogs on Nov. 29, as Air Force looks to leap ahead of Fresno State in the Mountain West Conference standings.

Air Force enters the contest with a 5-2 MWC record, while Fresno State is tied with Boise State and San Diego State atop the conference, with a 6-1 MWC record. An Air Force win would thrust the Falcons over the Bulldogs, and position the Falcons for a better bowl game.

The Falcons rebounded from two consecutive losses, with a win over Hawaii on Friday. Air Force, who boasts the second-best rushing attack in the country, averaging 335.5 yards per game on the ground, will try to close out the regular season with two consecutive wins.

Cody Getz will likely receive a fair share of carries, as Getz leads the Falcons with 172 carries and 1,131 rushing yards. Getz has scored nine touchdowns this year.

Fresno State opens the week as 14 1/2-point favorites over Air Force.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. MT, 12:30 p.m. locally, from Bulldog Stadium. Televised coverage can be found on NBC Sports Network.
