Stay connected for news and updates

Known for their ground game, the Air Force Falcons took to the air early in the first quarter and lead the Navy Midshipmen 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.

The Falcons began the game in an explosive way, marching 75 yards down the field in just four plays. Quarterback Connor Dietz faked a hand off on the triple option and then hit Drew Coleman on a 35 yard pass for the touchdown.

After forcing a Navy punt, Air Force then stormed down the field again, using their run game to get down to Navy's 23 yard line before Parker Herrington missed a field goal attempt.

Navy ended the quarter on the Falcons' 17-yard line, set up for a field goal attempt. The Falcons have already racked up 99 yards rushing, averaging 6.2 yards per carry. The Midshipmen are also focusing on their run game, finishing the quarter with 72 yards on the ground.
