The Air Force Falcons lead the visiting New Mexico Lobos 21-17 after three quarters on Saturday night, thanks to another strong rushing performance at Falcon Stadium.
Leading 14-10 heading into the second half, the Falcons allowed a 60-yard touchdown drive on New Mexico's first possession of the third quarter. Kasey Carrier capped off the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to give the Lobos a 17-14 lead less than five minutes into the half.
Air Force would respond, with quarterback Connor Dietz leading an 75-yard touchdown drive on the next possession. Wes Cobb, who has 50 yards rushing on nine carries in the game, gave the Falcons the lead once again with a 1-yard touchdown run to cap the 10-play drive.
For the game, the Falcons have 228 yards rushing, with Ty MacArthur leading the team with 69 yards rushing on just four attempts. Dietz is 4-for-4 for 61 yards passing, adding 49 yards on the ground on eight carries.
