Air Force used a second-half comeback to beat the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday night, 28-27, at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, WY.
Trailing at one point 21-7, and 24-14 at the half, the Falcons would score 14 unanswered points in the third and fourth quarter to take a one-point lead over the Cowboys. Wyoming would turn the ball over on downs with 5:35 remaining, which led to Air Force running out the clock thanks to a 3rd-and-10 conversion at the Wyoming 43.
Wyoming dominated most of the game on the stats sheet, allowing just 12 first downs to Air Force through three quarters. In the game, the Cowboys outgained the Falcons 447-371.
Box Score Hero: Air Force quarterback Connor Dietz put up 233 yards of total offense, going 7-of-9 for 141 yards and two touchdowns and adding 92 yards rushing on 14 carries.
But Did They Cover? Air Force did not cover, going into the game as 6.5-point favorites.
