Colorado State vs. Air Force: Rams bigger, not necessarily better

The Colorado State Rams have a definite size advantage over the Air Force Falcons going into their game on Saturday.

The Air Force Falcons fell in their first game of Mountain West play against UNLV, and will face off against the Colorado State Rams in their second conference game. It will be the first game in conference play for the Rams.

Air Force coach Troy Calhoun lauded some of the Rams' players in his weekly news conference, and pointed out that they are in another game where they will face a bit of a size disadvantage. CSU has large players in the trenches while Air Force has a fairly undersized defense. It's been a problem before for the Falcons, who also faced a size discrepancy against Michigan and UNLV:

"We're tiny, but we're always going to be small in terms of body mass," Calhoun said. "Our players will have to start drinking an extra milkshake. But this group has a great spirit."

The two teams will face off against each other on Saturday at Falcon Stadium. Air Force has won six straight games against the Rams in Mountain West play.
