Asher Clark Dismissal: Father Calls Air Force Decision A 'Travesty'

Air Force running back Asher Clark was recently dismissed from the Air Force Academy for a drug violation stemming from a party he attended back in the spring of 2011. His family is not pleased with how the Academy handled the situation; his father went so far as to call it a "travesty."

"He's a great cadet, a great student and what the Air Force has done is a travesty," Mark Clark said. "He could have gone to any school in the country. He chose to serve his country. This was hanging over his head all the way through the last semester, but he still made the dean's list for his grades. He would have been a great Air Force officer.

"With his love for the Air Force Academy and his fellow cadets, this is like going through a divorce for him."

Clark is Air Force's second leading all-time rusher.
