Bill Stewart, best known as a former West Virginia Mountaineers head coach, has died at the age of 59 of an apparent heart attack.
Stewart was an Air Force Falcons assistant under Fisher DeBerry from 1990-93, helping the team to three winning seasons and a No. 25 ranking in the AP Poll at the end of the 1991 season. He then went on the coach VMI.
Our condolences to the Stewart family.
