According to CBS Sports' Brett McMurphy, there is a chance that the Boise State Broncos will join the Big East in 2012.
"The Big East has been pushing them ‘quietly’ to join for 2012," a source said. "The WAC has had to rearrange lots of [its Olympic sports] schedules [in anticipation of the possible move]."
If the Broncos don't end up joining in time for the 2012 football season, they'll join the Big East in 2013 along with the rest of the league's new additions.
With West Virginia most likely leaving for the Big 12 in time for next season, the Big East will need a team to fill that void, which is something that could be working in Boise State's favor.
