Alcorn State Vs. LSU Final Score: Ryan Eades Strikes Out 8 As Tigers Crush Braves, 19-0

Stay connected for news and updates

The LSU Tigers continued its show of dominance in the 2012 LSU Tournament on Saturday night by defeating the Alcorn St. Braves, 19-0. The Tigers are now 2-0, having won Friday night's game against the Air Force Falcons, 10-2.

The Braves, who defeated the Falcons, 7-5, on Friday, had its Saturday game against Air Force postponed until Sunday morning due to weather, but the extra prep time didn't help them much against the Tigers. By the end of the third inning, the Tigers had an 11-0 lead.

Former Colorado Rockies draftee Austin Nola went 0-for-2, but walked three times and drove in a run on a ground out. A Rockies 2010 draftee, Ryan Eades threw five shutout innings of one-hit ball, striking out eight and walking one.

Air Force will play Alcorn State at 9 a.m. MT before playing LSU at 1 p.m. MT.
