Air Force Football Recruiting: Reggie Barnes Joins Falcons In Surprise Move

Stay connected for news and updates

The general expectation had been that the Air Force Falcons were presumably done putting together their 2012 recruiting class on National Signing Day. But two-star linebacker Reggie Barnes recently announced that he'll be joining Air Force in a relatively surprising development, according to Frank Schwab of the Colorado Springs Gazette. More from Schwab:

Arizona State’s Rivals.com site pegged the Sun Devils as the favorite a little more than a week ago after his visit to the campus. He could be a fantastic rush linebacker for the Falcons, if he ends up at that position.

Barnes, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker, played high school football in Tampa, Florida. Outside of Air Force, he had offers on the table from Arizona State, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Florida International, Pittsburgh, Presbyterian, Rice, VMI and Wofford.
