New Mexico Vs. Air Force Final Score: Falcons Struggle To Score, Lose To Lobos, 81-42

The Air Force Falcons came out flat against the New Mexico Lobos just a few days after taking the UNLV Rebels to overtime and nearly pulling off the upset. But it was never close against the Lobos at Clune Arena, losing in a 81-42 decision.

The Falcons shot 29.4 percent from the field by sinking just 15 of 51 shots. Twenty-eight of those shots went for three-pointers, but just five went through the hoop. Max Yon led the team with 11 points while Mike Fitzgerald scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds.

New Mexico shot 59.3 percent from the field. Drew Gordon and Kendall Williams each scored 13 points while Demetrius Walker and Phillip McDonald each contributed with 11 points from off the bench.

The 11-9 Falcons (1-5 MWC) face Colorado State on Saturday.
