Air Force Vs. Drake: Falcons Hit The Road For The First Time For The MWC/MVC Challenge

The Air Force Falcons (3-1) travel to Iowa to take on the Drake Bulldogs (4-3) in a Mountain West / Missouri Valley Challenge matchup on Saturday night.

The Falcons are coming off a difficult 76-73 overtime home loss to the Colorado Buffaloes on Nov. 23rd, but are looking to get off to a good start on the road this season. Air Force is ranked in the top-25 in multiple statistical categories this season, including Assists Per Game (8th), Assist-Turnover Ratio (15th), Steals Per Game (20th) and Turnover Margin (21st). Junior guard Michael Lyons leads the Mountain West in scoring at 20.5 ppg. 

The Drake Bulldogs are coming off a108-64 blowout road loss to Boise State on Nov. 30th. However, the Bulldogs are strong at home so far this season, going 3-0 at the Knapp Center.

This is one of  six  Mountain West / Missouri Valley Challenge matchups on Saturday night. Creighton won the initial game of the challenge for the MVC with an 85-83 victory over San Diego St. on November 30th.
