The 2011 Military Bowl has been filled with offense, as the Toledo Rockets lead the Air Force Falcons, 21-14. And that's after just the first quarter of play. After the Rockets went up, 14-0, midway through the first quarter, the two teams exchanged three touchdowns in a little over a minute during the final minutes of the quarter.
Air Force quarterback Tim Jefferson turned a 3rd-and-13 play into a 22-yard touchdown. The Rockets countered with a 87-yard kickoff touchdown return right after the extra point was made, appearing to suck the life out the offense the Falcons had just created.
However, Jonathan Warzeka had a 60-yard run to bring the Falcons to Toledo's three-yard line. Mike DeWitt then pounded the ball in for the touchdown, cutting the score to 21-14 in favor of Toledo.
