Air Force Vs. Toledo Score, Military Bowl 2011: Rockets Miss FG On Opening Drive Of Game

The Air Force Falcons were able to stop the Toledo Rockets on the opening drive of the 2011 Military Bowl, holding Toledo to a missed 47-yard field goal attempt. However, the Falcons did not look all that well on defense, allowing the Rockets to get down the field quickly.

Head coach Matt Campbell, coaching from the booth, kept going to Adonis Thomas and Eric Page on the opening drive. Thomas was keeping the pressure on the ground with three rushes for 23 yards while Page caught five passes for 21 yards. The Air Force defense will need to keep wear out early those two players to stall the Toledo offense.

Air Force failed to make much of anything on its first drive, watching quarterback Tim Jefferson kicking a short punt.
