After falling behind 17-7, Air Force has put together 21 straight points to now lead UNLV 28-20. To start the third quarter Air Force scored on a quick three play 88 yard drive in 61 seconds to give the Falcons their first lead since being up 7-0 back in the first quarter.
Air Force then stopped the Rebels offensive drive and did the complete opposite of the prior drive with a 11 play 67 yard drive which featured Tim Jefferson passing the ball in addition to the Falcons running their triple option offense. This score put the Falcons up 28-17.
With the game seemingly slipping away from UNLV, they kicked a field goal to make the score 28-20 in favor of Air Force.
