The Colorado Buffaloes fell to 1-4 on the year after being crushed at home by the UCLA Bruins on Saturday, 42-14. The loss did not really surprise the folks over at SB Nation's Colorado blog Ralphie Report, who simply saw Colorado get overwhelmed by a better team in UCLA:

The Colorado Buffaloes have fallen to 1-4 on the 2012 season after getting outclassed at home by the UCLA Bruins, 42-14. It was a game where both teams just seemed to go through the motions, not in a lack of effort sense, but in a "we are who we are and we're going to do what we do" kind of way. Sitting through the fourth quarter, I struggled with an angle to take on the recap for this game and finally decided that there wasn't one. Colorado lost to a better team. A team with more experience, talent and composure. This was a game that unless the Buffs played a near perfect game or UCLA made a lot of mistakes, they weren't going to win. Neither of those things happened today.

Colorado does not play again until Thursday, Oct. 11, when the Buffaloes welcome Arizona State to Boulder.
