Rory McIlroy has taken the lead at the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship on Monday afternoon. He birdied holes 2-4 before making bogey on the fifth. However, he bounced back with a birdie on the sixth hole to erase that mistake and followed with another birdie on the eighth hole. He is now sitting at 20-under.
That score was what Louis Oosthuizen started the day with, but through eight holes he is at 18-under. He double-bogeyed the fifth hole after making birdie on the fourth. Tiger Woods is certainly in contention, as he is 3-under for the final round and 16-under overall. His birdies came on holes 4, 6 and 7 while he has yet to make a bogey.
For the moment, it looks like a three-way race to the top of the leaderboard with no other golfer closer than 13-under.
