Colorado School of Mines will host Western New Mexico in their homecoming game on Saturday.

The Colorado School of Mines Orediggers fell to the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys on Saturday afternoon, 42-37. The loss drops the Orediggers to 3-1 on the season while the Cowboys improved to 3-1.
Mines quarterback Matt Brown had an amazing day passing, completing 52 of 80 passes for 601 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Three of his touchdowns came in a 20-point fourth quarter comeback attempt that fell short. He also ran for a touchdown.
Receivers Jerrod Doucet, Cody Renken and David Pawelek had receiving yard totals of 172, 145 and 120. Doucet caught two of the touchdown passes.
New Mexico Highlands quarterback Emmanuel Lewis had a big day to help the Cowboys to the victory by throwing for 434 yards and four touchdowns. Receiver Darius Davis caught eight balls for 171 yards but no touchdowns.
Colorado School of Mines returns home next week to face Western New Mexico.
