After losing to Ohio last week, will the New Mexico State Aggies be able to defeat the UTEP Miners on Saturday?
The New Mexico St. Aggies (1-1) visit the UTEP Miners on Saturday night with the hopes of rebounding from a 51-24 loss to Ohio Bobcats last Saturday. However, they will do it against an 0-2 Miners team that made Oklahoma look unimpressive in its 24-7 victory over them.
New Mexico State is led by its quarterback-wide receiver combination of Andrew Manley and Austin Franklin. Manley has 499 passing yards and four touchdown passes while Franklin has caught 13 balls for 308 yards and three touchdowns.
UTEP's quarterback Nick Lamaison has completed just 48 percent of his passes for 252 yards and one touchdown. However, running back Nathan Jeffery averages 8.4 yards per carry for 177 yards on the ground so far.
