Wyoming QB Brett Smith is doubtful for Saturday's game against Cal Poly after sustaining a concussion in last week's loss to Toledo.

University of Wyoming quarterback Brett Smith has been listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against Cal Poly, according to head coach Dave Christensen (via Mountain West Connection).

Smith was injured on a late hit near the end of the Cowboys' loss to Toledo last Saturday. Smith left the field via ambulance, but passed all tests that were administered to him at the hospital. Still, he hasn't practiced this week, and with Wyoming facing FCS Cal Poly this weekend, sitting Smith down seems to be the right thing to do.

Colby Kirkegaard and Jason Thompson are expected to battle for the majority of the playing time on Saturday, with the possibility that both players could see action in the game, according to offensive coordinator Gregg Brandon.
